Paragraphs Usage Manager

Managing which paragraph types are allowed on which content types normally means editing each Paragraphs field configuration individually. This module adds a centralised permissions-style matrix so you can control all paragraph usage from a single admin screen.

Paragraphs Usage Manager addresses one of the more tedious aspects of working with the Paragraphs module on large Drupal sites: maintaining control over which paragraph types are available in which fields across which content types.

Without this module, each Paragraphs field must be configured individually — a process that doesn't scale well when you have dozens of content types, multiple paragraph types, and a content model that evolves over time. Paragraphs Usage Manager adds two complementary admin interfaces.

The first is a dedicated "Manage usage" tab on each paragraph type, showing at a glance where that type is currently allowed and providing controls to add or remove it from specific fields. The second is a global permissions-style matrix — similar to Drupal's core permissions page — that shows all paragraph types against all entity types and bundles in a single scrollable grid.

Crucially, the module doesn't replace or bypass Drupal's native field configuration. It keeps field configuration as the single source of truth, meaning your config exports remain clean and standard. Changes made through the matrix are reflected immediately in the underlying field settings.
