Revisions Bulk Operations
Adds bulk action controls to the revisions tab on Drupal entities, starting with bulk deletion. Particularly useful for high-traffic nodes that accumulate thousands of revisions over time and need periodic cleanup without manual one-by-one deletion.
Revisions Bulk Operations tackles a housekeeping problem that becomes significant on mature Drupal sites: revision bloat. Every time an editor saves a piece of content, Drupal creates a new revision. On frequently updated pages — news articles, event listings, product pages — this can result in thousands of revisions per node, significantly increasing database size and slowing revision-related queries.
Drupal's core revision UI allows deletion of individual revisions one at a time from the revisions tab. Revisions Bulk Operations adds bulk action checkboxes to the revisions listing so multiple revisions can be selected and deleted in a single operation, similar to the bulk operations available on content listing pages.
The module was born from a community issue (#3555771) and is intended as a stepping stone toward getting this functionality into Drupal core (#3581729). It supports deletion initially, with the module description noting that additional bulk operations may be added in future releases.
The module works with any entity type that supports revisions and is compatible with Drupal 10 and 11. It is not yet covered by the security advisory policy but addresses a real operational need for sites managing high-volume content.
