Transom

Transom is an AI-powered site building module for Drupal 11 that fundamentally changes how pages are constructed. Instead of navigating content types, block types, Layout Builder regions, and style configuration by hand, editors and developers describe what they want in natural language — and Transom performs the actual Drupal operations.

The module adds a conversational chat interface to the admin UI. You describe a page ("a landing page with a hero, a three-column feature section, and a pricing table") and the AI agent builds it using real Drupal structures: Layout Builder sections, inline blocks, and styled component variants. The output is standard Drupal — fully editable, exportable, and not locked to any proprietary layer.

For teams new to Drupal, Transom removes the steepest part of the learning curve. For experienced developers, it speeds up prototyping and reduces the back-and-forth of translating client requirements into Layout Builder configurations.

Note that this module is not yet covered by Drupal's security advisory policy and is in early development. It is worth watching closely as the AI-assisted site-building space evolves rapidly.
